Space tool

Check the connection's account and Spaces with whoami.

On this page

Use whoami to check which account and Spaces the application works in. A Space is a shared workspace in the app.

Note

The application is connected to your TEISENDA account, and the connection has not ended.

You can call whoami with any role: Owner, Administrator, User or Read-only.

whoami Show user and spaces

reads only

Shows your name and the connection's Spaces with ID, display name, lock status and products. The Space ID is the hosting tools' space argument.

The response also says that you can change the connection's Spaces under Connected apps in TEISENDA.

No parameters.

Good to know

  • The application should choose the Space from whoami or from you and ask if several Spaces could apply.
  • Change the selection under Manage connections; whoami may still show the old state for up to one minute.
  • A locked Space remains in the response and is marked as locked. No hosting tool works there. If a connection covers only locked Spaces or no Spaces, the Connector offers the application only whoami.
  • A Space TEISENDA paused after a subscription ended is listed by whoami as unlocked, and its tools work; see Tools keep working in a paused Space.

If something goes wrong

Where a solution names a tool, ask the application to call it.

The Space is missing. Give the ten-digit Space ID in the argument space; whoami shows which Spaces belong to this connection.

The call does not name a Space, or the argument space does not contain ten digits. TEISENDA does not distinguish these cases. Tell the application which Space you mean; list the connection's Spaces with whoami.

“Space … does not belong to this connection. The Spaces included are shown by whoami.“

The Space does not belong to the connection. TEISENDA does not say which case applies:

  • You did not check the Space or later deselected it. Add it to the connection under Connected apps; see Manage connections with Claude and ChatGPT.
  • You are no longer a member there. You first need a new invitation to the Space.
  • The ten digits are not a Space ID in the connection. Check the Space ID with whoami.
“Space … (…) is locked. Nothing can be done there through this connection.”

The Space is treated as locked. The message does not give the reason:

  • It is not confirmed yet: open the link in the confirmation email; see Understand Spaces.
  • It is scheduled for deletion: only the member with the Owner role who deleted it can undo deletion while the deadline is running, using the link emailed to them when deleting it. TEISENDA cannot resend the link; see Delete and restore a Space.
  • TEISENDA locked it: contact support; you cannot remove this lock yourself.

Afterwards, the Connector may still treat the Space as locked for up to one minute.

“TEISENDA is currently unreachable. Please try again in a few minutes.”

The Connector returns this sentence in two cases; the application decides how to present it to you.

  • The Connector did not receive a usable response from TEISENDA. whoami then returns the last known information, if available, and says it is outdated. Try again a few minutes later.
  • A tool call took longer than two minutes. The Connector stopped waiting and the result was lost; the call may still have completed in TEISENDA. Check the current state, for example with hosting_project_status or hosting_list_deploys, rather than repeating the call blindly.

Messages about the connection itself and all other messages that can occur with any tool are listed under Troubleshoot the Connector.
